Our mission is to provide economic development opportunities for our businesses and community. We focus our efforts on business retention, expansion and recruitment. We have many people and organizations ready to help us take these steps.
We have been fortunate to experience positive growth in population over the past year. In the past five years we have welcomed over 20 new businesses and assisted with 18 business expansion projects.
Beloit is a rural community in North Central Kansas. U. S. Highway 24 provides a vital east-west transportation corridor through our region. It is intersected to Kansas Highway 14 in Beloit.
Only 27 miles to the east of us, Highway 81 is our connecting link to our international neighbors to the north and south. It connects with Interstate 70 through Kansas and Interstate 80 in Nebraska. Numerous locally owned businesses provide consumer goods and services for the families within the community. Locally manufactured items are shipped to a variety of locations.
